When you choose Aquarius Pools to build your swimming pool, we feel it important to inform you of our process, which we have detailed for you below.
Focus
We keep our focus narrow. This ensures we deliver on our promise to you. We know that your vision may include building and landscaping. We look forward to working with other key stake holders and your appointed project manager.

We are committed to delivering the highest quality product and creating an enjoyable experience for our clients. To ensure we meet all of our client’s expectations, we rely on open and honest communication though the entire process. We believe that focusing on the details is key to delivering our client’s vision.
Our Process
Upon being appointed to build your pool, our preliminary department will begin work on the details required for our construction team. Documentation will then be generated to obtain relevant permits. Once all plans and permits have been approved the preliminary department will hand the project over to construction. Construction will be scheduled and work on site begins.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO DELIVERING THE HIGHEST QUALITY PRODUCT AND CREATING AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FOR OUR CLIENTS.
Our Process
-
After our initial consultation we will prepare a custom quotation which will meet your design brief. If required we will liaise with your architect, landscapers and/or builders to ensure the best solutions are provided.
-
Once the quotation has been accepted and a contract has been signed we can commence works on your new swimming pool.
-
We work to compile all the documentation required to gain the relevant permits. We also strive to identify and document all the details specific to your pool.
The time required to obtain relevant permits and approvals can vary depending on council and requirements. The below is an approximate timeline for an average pool:
Pool Drawings
Timeframe: 2 weeks
Engineering
Timeframe: 1 to 4 weeks
Permit Issue Plans
Timeframe: 2 to 3 weeks
Building Permit
Timeframe: 2 weeks
Once we have the plans and permits in place, preliminaries will handover to construction. We can then plan and schedule a start date for the construction process.
-
We will meet with you to discuss the details of your pool and selections for Equipment Location, Solar Heating Location, Pool Coping, Tiles and/or other Finishes.
-
Depending on the size and location of your pool, this main stage of your pool build takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks and will follow the following format:
Site Establishment
Timeframe: 1-2 Days
Pool Excavation
Timeframe: 1-3 Days
Pool Steel & Form
Timeframe: 1-2 Weeks
Pool Plumbing
Timeframe: 1 Week
Concrete Spray
Timeframe: 1 Day (Plus 28 days curing)
Strip Pool Formwork & Site Clean
Timeframe: 1 Day
-
Once your pool has been sprayed and striped of all formwork, we can run your pool pipes through underground trenches to your selected equipment location.
From here your trades can complete their hard and soft landscaping.
-
Timeframe: 2-3 Weeks
Following the curing period, we can commence finishes. Depending on your selection, this process can take between 2 to 3 weeks to install. If your pool is tiled, we will need to complete this prior to your pool coping, paving and/or decking installation.
-
Timeframe: 2-3 Days
Once the equipment slab for the pool facilities has been completed, which is not usually in our scope and most often completed by your landscaper or builder, we can install your pool equipment and heating. From here your licensed electrician and plumber can make all the required connections and your fencing contractor can install the pool barrier.
-
Timeframe: Up to 2 Weeks
At this stage all construction works should be complete, equipment and fence installed.
Once the final certificate (fence inspection) has been approved and issued by the building surveyor, we can begin filling and commissioning your new pool.
We estimate a process of approximately 2 weeks to balance the water chemistry and program the pool equipment to ensure its in the optimal condition!
-
Once we have finished commissioning your new pool, we will provide you with a handover kit and manual, then schedule a training session to help you understand how your pool operates and how to service your pool.
For those who would prefer, we also offer our clients the opportunity to have your pool serviced and maintained regularly by one of our experienced technicians.
